Organic Foods and Buying Local

Many people don't realize it, but going organic can help us go green. It may seem easier to run to the grocery store and buy your fruits and vegetables there, but then you don't know where your food is coming from. By buying local you not only support your local farms but you also are helping the environment. When fruits and vegetables are shipped from other countries, it is not only costly but it also effects our environment. The carbon emission from shipping them, is unnecessarily high. Also by buying organic foods, you know that there was nothing genetically modified put into your food, or into the environment. Buying local and organic is a healthier and more environment friendly choice.

  1. I think going organic is a good idea to help the enviornment. I also think that a lot of people think that all organic food is nasty but there is a lot of organic food that taste good and is good for you.
